143 AES Convention

Fall is here. For us, that means packing up the crates and heading to the annual Audio Engineering Society (AES) Convention. This year: New York City. If you're in or around the Big Apple this week and plan to attend, come visit us at the Javits Center, in booth 513. (Wednesday through Friday). We'll be there with our entire line of high fidelity professional audio equipment for you to experience, including the new m900 Headphone Amp / DAC.

Also, these east coast shows usually entail a cameo by our ever cheerful mom, Lynn. She'll be posted up at the booth, knitting and doling out handfuls of M&M's. If you haven't met her yet, you'll be glad you did - especially if she starts telling embarrassing stories about us as kids.

Also, in demo room 2D03, we will be showing and playing the fabulous Kii THREE speakers you've been hearing so much about. On hand will be Kii AUDIO's CEO Chris Reichardt and CTO Bruno Putzeys. This is a very rare and exciting opportunity to meet the men behind these game changing speakers. We hope to see you there!!

Jacob Collier Chooses Grace

“It’s a dream to work with this equipment, in the sense that it almost entirely vanishes in the creative process - being so utterly transparent and seamless. Working so much with organic, analogue sound, it’s absolutely crucial to work with gear capable of capturing and describing every sound with warmth, clarity and soul. GRACE is pure class.”

Recently we were given the opportunity to help the Grammy winning musician / composer Jacob Collier outfit his redesigned studio with a couple m108 mic preamps and an m905 monitor controller. Jacob's radical musical adventurousness and mind-bending virtuosity requires recording equipment that can literally keep up - with impeccable sonic clarity, ease of use, and total reliability. To capture his torrential flow of musical expression, his gear must simply be the very best sounding and easiest to use there is. And that is why he chose not only the m108 and m905, but a pair Kii THREE monitors as well.

If you have not experienced what Jacob Collier is currently achieving with musical expression, hang on to your hat – this is a link to his YouTube feed. Warning: it will blow your mind.

m108 Critical Acclaim

The m108 8 channel mic preamp / ADC continues to receive major critical acclaim. It has been awarded the 2017 Resolution Award for Quality and Innovation, and also nominated for the 2018 SOS Award, which will be announced at the 2018 NAMM show (you can vote for the m108 here!). This along with the nomination for the 32nd Annual TEC award, and the m108 is really becoming an industry darling. While it's an honor the be recognized by so many industry peers, the real reward for us is knowing its in use across wide spectrum of recording engineers and artists, helping streamline their work-flows and making their records sound great.
